The Louis XV timeframe was one of extreme wealth, and the distance between the classes was monumental. France was the most powerful nation on Earth during this time, and in keeping with this, the wealthy demanded bigger and better, which was reflected in their love of organic motifs and intricate ornamentation. So, what happens when you want bigger, better and more comofortable? 

Chair styles became curvier and more comfortable. As such, furniture during this period became more elegant - chairs are often rounded and feature carved decoration and design, chair legs are set at an angle and are often cabriole, or S-shaped, and seat backs are angled for increased comfort. All our furniture is made out of plantation wood, meaning it has been kiln (oven) dried to protect the wood against splits and cracks, unlike most sun-dried Mahogany furniture on the market.
